Description
Step into the world of Dungeons & Dragons and experience The Sword Coast like never before with my handcrafted map. If you’ve played Dungeons & Dragons, RPG video games, or read fantasy novels anytime in the last 30+ years, then you likely visited The Sword Coast. This map features all the lands from the eastern edge of the Moonshae Isles to the north-western end of Anauroch desert, from Icewind Dale to Amn.
The sigils of the largest (or most visited/known) locations are included, all burned into buckskin and painted with natural pigments and a bone tool, just like the rest of the map itself. This stunning piece of art measures roughly 21″ x 28″, and the full skin is about 39″ x 43″.
The Sword Coast is a region in the world of Faerun, which is the main setting of the Dungeons & Dragons game. It is located on the western coast of the continent and stretches from the city of Waterdeep in the north to the Amnian border in the south. The region is named after the Sword Mountains, which run parallel to the coast and are home to numerous goblinoids and other creatures.
The Sword Coast has a rich history and is home to many famous cities and locations that are well-known to fans of the Dungeons & Dragons game. For example, Baldur’s Gate is a major trading hub and is known for its corruption and political intrigue, while Neverwinter is a bustling port city that has survived numerous disasters and is home to many powerful magic-users.
Throughout the years, the Sword Coast has been the site of numerous conflicts and adventures, with heroes and villains alike vying for power and treasure. Despite the dangers, however, many brave adventurers are drawn to the region in search of wealth, glory, and adventure.
I handcraft each map using traditional methods, ensuring an authentic and immersive experience. The intricate details and three-dimensional relief make it a beautiful and functional piece of decor that can be proudly displayed in your home or office. The buckskin used to make this map is of the highest quality, chosen for its softness and cleanliness from professional and ethical tanners.
As a perfect addition to your D&D-themed cave, this map is a true beauty that you’ll pass on to your grand kids. Please note that display is not included, but the map can be hung from holes cut into the edge of the hide. Get ready to embark on a new adventure with this D&D Leather Map of The Sword Coast.
If you’d like a custom display made for you, feel free to message me to discuss your vision.
I also offer an 16″ x 22″ print of this map.
Buckskin Pyrography
Experience the Timeless Beauty of Buckskin Pyrography!
Dating back thousands of years, traditional buckskin remains a cherished material for its luxurious texture and high quality. Each piece is uniquely handcrafted using primitive techniques, resulting in a stunning 3D effect that makes the artwork truly pop. To fully showcase this effect, oblique lighting is recommended to create depth and shadows.
As part of the tanning process, traditional buckskin is smoked to make it water-resistant and give it its trademark color, ranging from light yellows to dark browns. This can result in a smoky aroma that many people find enjoyable, reminiscent of a warm campfire.
Please note that your artwork may carry a mild smoky scent. To minimize this, we recommend framing it in glass, not only to reduce the smell but also to protect it and ensure its longevity. Bring the timeless beauty of buckskin pyrography to your home today.
